Erdem Atas joined the World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP in 2017 and currently works for World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP Maldives program as a Country Economist and Resident Coordinator for the Macroeconomics, Public Sector, Trade & Investment unit since July 2022. Prior to his duty in Maldives, he worked as a Country Economist for Turkey. He mainly works on macroeconomic stability, financial and fiscal policy issues, as well as on the structural transformation areas. Before joining the World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP, he worked for the International Monetary Fund. He has Bachelor¡¯s and Master¡¯s degrees in Economics from the University of London and the University of Warwick. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, cooking, running, recording songs, reading, and exploring archaeological sites.
