Indonesia NTM Dataset
The increasing use of non-tariff measures (NTMs) in global trade has highlighted the need for timely, high frequency and accurate data in order to ensure that NTMs achieve their policy objectives without creating unnecessary costs for Indonesian economy and households.
¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP NTM dataset for Indonesia provides researchers, policy makers, governments, NGOs etc. with the first high-frequency panel dataset on the universe of NTMs applied by a country. The data, which has been a result of the collaboration with the Indonesian government, expands and improves on existing data on Indonesian NTMs collected by and by:
- covering a broader source base,
- increasing the frequency of updates (annual),
- customizing some measures in the data,
- having a higher time frequency (monthly),
- linking it to policy such as NTMs put in place in response to COVID-19.
Supplementary resources include a that provides an overview of the purpose, building procedures and usage of the data for Indonesia, which aim to facilitate the construction of similar datasets in other countries.
All the data files, including the product-measure-month panel data, and product-measure-regulation, and related resources such as concordance of various product nomenclature, can be found at the (DDH) in both csv and Stata format.
