How Governments can Address Gender-Based Violence in Latin America and the Caribbean?

December 6, 2022
Online

Almost three years after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, gender-based violence (GBV) continues to be a permanent challenge for Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries. GBV has substantial costs and is a fundamental barrier to equality among women and men. Collaboration and partnership between LAC policymakers and organizations are essential to address the gaps and develop innovative solutions to address gender-based violence in the region.

The Latin America and Caribbean Gender Innovation Lab (LACGIL) and the LCR Social Sustainability and Inclusion (SSI) team will host a panel discussion on ¡°How Can Governments Address Gender-Based Violence In Latin America and the Caribbean¡± which focuses on identifying the policy gaps when addressing gender-based violence, and the solutions governments can incorporate to address the issue. This engaging session is part of the World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP's 16 Days of Advancing Gender-Based Violence Activism and the launch of the World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP's Insights In Advancing Gender Equality webinar series, which focuses on promoting lessons learned and practical solutions to address gender equality in LAC.
