The world loses or wastes one-quarter to one third of all food produced for human consumption, according to the World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP¡¯s quarterly ¡®Food Price Watch,¡¯ citing FAO and World Resources Institute estimates. ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP President Jim Yong Kim says the staggering loss impacts the global effort to end extreme poverty and outlines action to alleviate the problem.
