The Fifth Africa Climate Resilient Investment Summit ACRIS V, held virtually June 16-17, 2021, focused on embedding and financing climate resilience for Africa's green recovery. To kick-start the conversation, Simeon Ehui, Regional Director for Sustainable Development for Central and Western Africa at the World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP Group provided an overview of the challenges and opportunities for green growth, saying ¡°We can vaccinate ourselves against COVID-19, but we cannot vaccinate ourselves against climate change or poverty. That is why the World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP is committed to supporting countries in implementing reforms that address both the impacts of climate change AND the pandemic.¡±
