The session will highlight how Bangladesh, Indonesia, and West Africa, in partnership with the World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP, have been implementing large-scale solutions to mitigate damages to coastal communities and infrastructures in the face of climate change.
The session will focus on how these countries are adopting nature-based solutions, building infrastructure, strengthening institutions, modifying spatial plans, and providing incentives to local communities to enhance resilience. It will also show how nature-based solutions, large-scale mangrove management, can also contribute to climate mitigation significantly.
Finally, the session will showcase how the World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP has mobilized financial and technical support and convened partners to support countries in South Asia, East Asia and West Africa and discuss the road ahead.
