The progress report details key outputs and achievements of the CWPF since its inception and provides a summary of key results and an update on the implementation of approved grants.


The China-World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP Partnership Facility supported a team of Chinese experts and World ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵAPP energy specialists in undertaking a journey into China¡¯s experience in energy efficiency work. The team looked for lessons from the Chinese experience that would be valuable for practitioners in other developing countries designing their own policy frameworks to scale up results in energy efficiency work.


The publication is designed to capture China's experience in making comprehensive transport safer, cleaner, and more affordable so it can be shared with other countries. The book explores program of activities on transit-oriented development (TOD) implemented under the Transport Transformation and Innovation Knowledge Platform (TransFORM).


The report is a retrospective of how Inland Waterways Transport (IWT) in China was revived over the past 40 years.  It sheds light on ¡°what¡±, ¡°how¡± and ¡°why¡± China revived IWT into a vibrant mode of transport, which is relevant to policy makers in emerging economies grappling with challenges of developing or revitalizing IWT in their countries. The insights in this report will also contribute towards our overall knowledge of the value of rivers, increase awareness of IWT and stimulate conversations on improved stewardship of rivers around the world.


The Policy note is the first in the series and it examines the features of Pakistan¡¯s food system that make it vulnerable to food price inflation and volatility. It focuses on the broader trends in supply and demand, and reviews the role of the government in ensuring that the markets perform efficiently while fulfilling its development outcomes. Based on this, the paper provides recommendations to strengthen supply, address market and policy inefficiencies, and ensure that the population's food needs are met.
